What you should does go ask somewhere different where people using the forum would have a better knowledge of cars. Some of the questions asked here are just silly like needing help on how to pop a clutch.

It's likely he was just playing with you. Either that or you did not read the car model properly.
Your claim is akin to someone in a 1.2 fiesta saying they beat your Passat at the lights. Dubious.

Oh it was a 330 and I'm 90% certain there was a D after the "0". 2010 plate. Anything is possible

Either he was messing with you or it was a 318D with the badge swapped.
The 330i is even faster than the 330D.

Yes, it's the Sportier model with a 2.2 engine that's 170BHP stock that I have had remapped, the normal Accord of the same generation as mine (2009) has 150BHP, I don't know how powerful the normal 2005 Accord is. The stiffer suspension on mine helps too.
How much did the remap effect your insurance? My dads looking at getting his c350 remapped.
Depends on the car, you have to do a bit of trial and error to see when the best point to let the clutch out it.
My BMW is best just under 3k rpm if you want a fast launch. Any more and you end up with a cloud of tyre smoke and a lot of noise which looks impressive but isn't fast.
I don't do it very often to be fair, just make sure you let the clutch out quickly otherwise you can damage your drivetrain.

Agreed. A 2.0 TDI Passat is a brisk enough car, but nothing on either a 330i or a 330d. Totally different league there.
