Fp1-3 June 2014

This thread is a discussion thread for those taking Fp1, Fp2 and/or Fp3 this coming exam season.

OP Edit: Originally this was Edexcel only but I've made the decision to make this thread open for people of all exam boards.

Doing FP2 and FP3 this June. Got 94% (47/50, haven't done polar coordinates or taylor series yet) in my mock for FP2 and yet to start FP3
Finished Fp1.
Done most of Fp2.
Missed the mocks for those. I tend to get mid As though atm.

If enough people respond, I'll make separate threads for the different exams.
If few people respond, I'll make it open to all the exam boards.

It should be June 2014 and not June 2013 (as it has already passed).
Look at the title again.

Hehe, no worries.
Nope, but I should have dome FM at AS, but unfortunately you needed an A* at GCSE maths in my sixth form to do it, which I didn't have.
I had a look at my friends FP1 book and the stuff looks interesting, how is it learning FP1, any good?

Fp1 is easy to learn quickly. You should consider doing the AS now (through self study) if you're an A2 student.

That is not a bad idea, but I'm halfway through A2 at the moment, and learning FP1, S2 and M2 in 3-4 months is no easy job, all on to of my current a levels.

Oh cool. Did you do Fp1 this term?

I'm doing FP1 but on AQA:tongue:. Edexcel just seems so much better for Further Maths.

I did fp1 last year for AS FM
Doing FP3 this year after a serious under-performance last year.

Anyone got any hard reduction formulae questions? (Any exam board is fine)
