Nursing conversion courses in the UK

I'm an Irish trained Psychiatric Nurse. I've basically realised that I'm quite limited in working internationally-ie the States- as I wasn't really thinking long term when I began my studies. I'm qualified now but thinking about doing an Adult Conversion Course in Napier in Edinburgh, as its supposed to be very good. I was just wondering what others' experiences were of these courses? Also, in the US and Canada for the RN qualification they require some education/clinical experience in pediatrics. i was wondering is this covered on some level in these conversion courses, or in a typical Adult Nursing Course? Obviously, not to a specialised level, but just to a basic level

Hi Ive done a conversion at Napier, although not the adult one. The adult one does not contain any paediatric training, it would be all placements within acute/community adult. Looking at their planner they do 5 theory modules and 3 placements.

There's nothing stopping you from working in an environment where you will gain experience of looking after kids once finishing your conversion course though OP. Places such as A&E or theatres for example.
