Electrons as Standing Waves?

I'm not sure my thread posted earlier so sorry if this is a duplicate...

I'm a biologist studying electrons as part of my biochem series and considering I haven't studied physics since GCSE I have no idea what I'm looking at... My lecturer talked about electrons as standing waves, nodes, antinodes, harmonics etc. Can anyone explain as basically as possible the model of electrons as waves? Or know a website that can do the same thing? I don't know what I'm talking about tbh, just throwing out words in the hope that someone understands what I'm talking about xD it's probably not as difficult as I'm making it out to be in my head.

Thanks in advance xx
It's difficult to know where to start because any explanation needs to build on what physics you already know and understand.

Try these websites. They approach it in different ways. One might work.

Good luck.
