Re: The Beatles SocietySo does mine, but there tends to be songs I find myself falling back on, if that makes sense?
Like I always end up listening to I've Just Seen A Face and Here Comes the Sun, because, like, I dunno, they make me really happy or something, even if I've been favouring something else for an hour/day or two. -
Re: The Beatles SocietyWell I go through phases of listening to some of their songs a lot (currently loving I Will, Happiness is a Warm Gun and Why Don't We Do It In The Road) but there's a core group of songs such as Oh! Darling, Let It Be, A Day In The Life, the Abbey Road Medley, Two Of Us, Here There and Everywhere etc) which aren't a phase but a constant source of listening happiness

Re: The Beatles SocietyI can't even pick a favourite Beatle, and there are only four of them compared to the hundreds of Beatles songs to choose from

Mine changes constantly too, but I Want You (She's So Heavy), While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Girl, Tomorrow Never Knows and She Said She Said are always up there

Re: The Beatles Society
I think my favourite Beatle will always be John. Imo it was his creative drive, artistry and poetry that put them above the other bands of the time (although it also depended on the musicality of Paul and George - sorry Ringo). Looking at what they did after they split up is very telling.

Re: The Beatles SocietyI agree. I always loved John for the psychedelic element he brought to the band, also. Although, apparently Paul was a big fan of all that stuff as well and played a big part too, alongside Lennon, in bringing that aspect to the Beatles that I'll always remember and epitomise them as.(Original post by Fingersmith)

Re: The Beatles SocietyI tend to lean towards John as well, partly because of the music and partly because I can relate to him more in terms of family background and the way he thought (or at least the way it seems to me). But lately I've started to appreciate Paul a little bit more because of his genius and dedication to his craft.(Original post by Fingersmith)

Did anyone see Paul on the Ronnie Wood Show, by the way? It was great!
