I always had a soft spot for their ballads and even covers like this:

...and one of my first favourites, the B side of 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' (I wonder where my singles went )

So does mine, but there tends to be songs I find myself falling back on, if that makes sense?
Like I always end up listening to I've Just Seen A Face and Here Comes the Sun, because, like, I dunno, they make me really happy or something, even if I've been favouring something else for an hour/day or two.

Well I go through phases of listening to some of their songs a lot (currently loving I Will, Happiness is a Warm Gun and Why Don't We Do It In The Road) but there's a core group of songs such as Oh! Darling, Let It Be, A Day In The Life, the Abbey Road Medley, Two Of Us, Here There and Everywhere etc) which aren't a phase but a constant source of listening happiness

So basically what TheWorldEndsWithMe said :p:

I totally get that. I'm doing the exact same thing with This Boy, Twist and Shout, Long Tall Sally, and Come Together, Carry That Weight, I'll Get You, and Carol from the Live at the BBC album

So many songs, so little time :sogood:

I have my favourites that change all the time but there is a few that are a cut above the rest for me and will never be sick of hearing them: Elenor Rigby, I me mine, while my guitar gently weeps, I am the walrus!

It's 'You Never Give Me Your Money' from Abbey Road. One of the really good ones.

I can't even pick a favourite Beatle, and there are only four of them compared to the hundreds of Beatles songs to choose from

Mine changes constantly too, but I Want You (She's So Heavy), While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Girl, Tomorrow Never Knows and She Said She Said are always up there

I think my favourite Beatle will always be John. Imo it was his creative drive, artistry and poetry that put them above the other bands of the time (although it also depended on the musicality of Paul and George - sorry Ringo). Looking at what they did after they split up is very telling.

I agree. I always loved John for the psychedelic element he brought to the band, also. Although, apparently Paul was a big fan of all that stuff as well and played a big part too, alongside Lennon, in bringing that aspect to the Beatles that I'll always remember and epitomise them as.

I have my loads of favourites. Actually too many to mention, I'll just go on forever! But my favourite has always been 'Come Together'.

One of the best things about The Beatles is that the album tracks are so good as well as the singles.

I tend to lean towards John as well, partly because of the music and partly because I can relate to him more in terms of family background and the way he thought (or at least the way it seems to me). But lately I've started to appreciate Paul a little bit more because of his genius and dedication to his craft.

Did anyone see Paul on the Ronnie Wood Show, by the way? It was great!
