Electron counting

Hey again, just a quick question on electron counting.
How do you go about working out the number of total valence electrons of a complex with a metal-metal bond that has bridging ligands?

For example, the compound Ru2(CO)9 with 3 bridging CO ligands and single bond between both Ruthenium atoms.

Hope that makes sense.

Split the electrons from the bridging ligands.
