Predicted grade

I applied Astrophysics to University of St Andrews and my referee predicted my grade at 80 % in physics. Entry req is 85%. Do I have a chance to get an offer from this university? I think I wrote a good personal statement and I still have a chance to master my skills required for 85%.
They don't base everything entirely on predictions, as some schools are known for overexaggerating about their students and so, for example, might predict a student a grade that is two grades higher than what they have already achieved. The universities are fully aware of this so whilst they will look at your prediction, it won't be what brings them to come to a conclusion of whether or not you'll get an offer.

5% isn't a huge difference, and if you've got a strong personal statement, I'm sure you'll be fine. Best of luck!

Predicted grades along with SOP, LOR and other exams are considered. Predictions are just a part of your application.
Relax brother.
