Why do people ask sexual questions?

Why do people feel the need to ask questions regarding someone's sex life, why does it matter to them? It has nothing to do with them! And why would anyone answer to STRANGERS on the internet?!

They want it, that's why.

Personally, insecurity issues. Knowing this one guy has pounded my girlfriend in the past does inflict jealousy. Just my take.

If you couldn't handle the answer, why ask?

If I don't ask, it will linger in my mind and it will affect my day to day activities. I rather have the truth, no matter how painful it is.

I have the truth, for now about my girlfriend, it hurts but not as much as it did not knowing. I even think about it now and then, I don't know why, it just finds its way into my mind, picturing my girlfriend and her ex. A porn video may even start to incite these thoughts.

I'll be honest, I felt sick for a day. I didn't want to eat either when I found out and also saw a pic of her ex, my stomach goes weird.

This is just me, like everyone else, I have my own personal issues and insecurities, not everyone is like this. I presume some are better than how I feel, some perhaps feel even worse.

1: I don't get it
2: Just becuase someone is physically attracted to someone it doesn't mean they are sexually
3: Okay...
4:Why would anyone do that?!"
5: That's okay I guess but I still don't understand why anyone would do it.

How can you be friendly by answering questions about sex? I don't understand people with huge egos... What happened to respecting yourself?

Why not?

Because asking someone about sex on the internet expect for biological knowledge is strange.

Just a bit of friendly banter, go back to tumbrl or join your local mums knitting society if it bothers you so much.

I'll never understand this "banter" stuff... I'm just wondering why people feel the need to ask when people ask them to ask them ANYTHING. It's like one of the first questions... I.e Someone posted that they were a wife and someone HAD to ask about their sex life... What if their husband found out?!
I guess there are mainly two reasons why people ask questions like that:

1) It's funny/amusing/sex is awesome to talk about because it's still a bit "naughty" and we can all hide behind our screens and indulge our curiosities

2) The actual nature of "real" sex is still very much a hidden part of society and talking about it is generally frowned upon (by people such as yourself), and therefore people are dying to know whether what THEY do/like is normal or acceptable.

Agreed. I find it super awkward, in real life as well - even more "innocent" things ie: would you kiss x, would you let x kiss you etc...
