17 And losing hair - please advice!!

Hiya,
I'm 17 and I first noticed my hair loss when I was around 15. I didn't do anything about it at first because I was either told there was nothing I could do about it, that or that it was normal to have bald patches on the head
and that it would eventually stop.

Now, however, after having watched my hair is getting worse. and i have noticed alot of thinning.

Please advice!!!

Not that you'd think it to look at me.
