What to compare between 'The Collector' by John Fowles and 'Enduring Love' by Ian McE

I'm currently doing AS English Literature and have to write an comparative essay between these two books and was wondering if any one knew any thing that would be particularly interesting to compare.
Obsession would be the most obvious way to go and the mental illness being encompassed in that. Jed is obsessed with Joe and has clerambaults syndrome, causing him to stalk Joe. This coincides with Clegg's unhealthy obsession with Miranda, which leads to him kidnapping her. Another thing to point out is this is just an mental obsession, neither of these men have sexual desires towards the object of their obsession, yet Jed is exceptionally emotional (his breakdown when he screams at how much he hates joe) and Clegg, who is very stoic and abnormally unemotional.
Another thing to point out is a structure point where both are shown from two different points of view (joe and Clarissa/ Miranda and Clegg). You could also say that Miranda writes in a diary format and we see some of Clarissa's letters.
Just a few simple points that'll hopefully start you off. Good luck!
