The Student Room Group

is TSR full of Nerds?

when i say nerds, I mean people who have do not and have a hard time socialising and spend all their time in the library and use TSR to socialise.

I was curious because most TSR users seem like that, do you think that is the case?

Wouldn't say it's full of it all. In fact I'd say the majority are just normal students.
Yes and no I guess.

It's funny how confident and open people are on TSR , imagining them staying in a library and revising all day is very hard as people on here have very good social skills.

But then I wonder how so many people on TSR get 15+A* gcses or 4 A's at a-level without spending a considerable amount of time not socialising.

EDIT: I'm not one of these nerds and I'm not social either D:
Nope, I used to use it for A level stuff and now that I'm at uni I use it because I'm nosy and I enjoy some of the conversations. Although there are undeniably some users like that.
Nope, I got a B in one of my AS subjects, certainly not a nerd .

I see people asking for advice, but they get such horrendous advice from people whom have never been in the situation or understood it for that matter. Their responses are rather secular and based on what you would see on TV. I say this from all my time spent on TSR, its just kinda funny. I think someone should do an investigation on this for bants.
I hope so :colondollar: Nerds are hot.

Back in the day (2-3 years ago) I would have probably have said yes, but TSR has become much more mainstream since then. Unfortunately this has resulted in the calibre of threads/posts on TSR falling considerably. I miss the TSR of old. :frown:

No, it's full of those pseudo-intelligent individuals.

The vast majority, yes, for example, you wouldn't start bragging about TSR in real life would you? And if you would then you are beyond help.

You will never get into Oxbridge now and will majestically fail your life.

Yes, there are plenty which slip unnoticeable. Some use big words in context which they themselves don't even understand.

Holy ****
Some of the more "sociable" members of TSR are probably actually quite and don't have many friends IRL

Full of weirdos tbh, especially the occams chainsaw et al clique and their banal chat threads.
