warwick maths

hey

what makes warwick maths so good? how do prospective academics know this?

It's been over-hyped by loads of posh kids in the past.

The really hard kids do maths at Aston, Chester and Derby.

I suppose a big factor would be the course content - they might feel that the things taught are particularly significant for maths and/or they stretch the students. This would obviously be true for several other universities as well.
because somebody decided to create the acronym COWI and now all the AS level students are getting moist over this mystical place called "warwick" which they had never knew even existed pre-16 and is in the middle of nowhere with very little to do except study maths and apply to top 4 auditing firms convincing themselves they're winning in life whilst simultaneously juggling feelings of loneliness and worthlessness and wondering if when they get a good enough degree and a good enough job will they finally get laid?

I sense some bitterness in this post. Did you get rejected by any chance?
