Really lonely and unhappy in London

Everyone says that Londoners are rude but I didn't really experience this. As long as you don't do anything stupid like stand on the wrong side of the escalator or fumble around with your wallet at the ticket barrier on the Tube, it's very rare for people to be rude to you. People will generally be a little wary of having a conversation with a stranger but that's to be expected.
How are things now, thread starter? I'm hopefully moving to London in a few months time! Any tips people? x
