Ucl/warwick economics

Hi, I have offers for both ucl and warwick economics but am still largely undecided over which I prefer, ucl wins on rankings overall whereas warwick finishes higher in economics, which matters more to employers? I could see myself being happy at either so factors other than the quality of the course are not really a worry, which would be better for breaking into investment banking? Thanks

They're basically on par in terms of reputation academically, and so will both provide a sound stepping stone into IB (theyre both targets). So it's up to you really, which do you prefer? Campus or city, etc... Go to open days and decide for yourself.

Both are great institutions, so well done either way

Warwick is better for economics because it specialises in it. My friend doing economics at Warwick said it a rigorous course and employers know that too so it will be impressive on job applications.

Dont study league tables too hard they're not the be all and end all. Neither is better for banking, theyre pretty much equal career wise & academically. Choose based on campus vs city, coventry/leamington vs london, societies, etc. You really cant go wrong with either

Warwick isnt better for economics, its not clear cut between the two. Obv your friend studying the course would say that. Word of advice to OP dont listen to a level students, esp those not applying for economics
