Bursary

As I'll be turning 25 during year 1 of my undergraduate course, I've been trying to work out how my funding for year 2 onwards will be affected.

At the moment I get the bare minimum maintenance loan as my parents earn too much money and I'm living at home. From what I've read, that will change when I'm 25 and I'll be assessed completely independently. That means that I'll be eligible for the maximum loan as well as a grant.

That already seems to good to be true but I've also been looking at Manchester's bursary information and it says that their standard bursary is available to anyone who has been financially assessed by Student Finance. Which, from the sounds of it, means that I'd be eligible for that as well.

Have I got this right?
