Re: Broadgate Park-ers!When do you find out which plant thing you're in? Did you find out you're in Hemlocks after you paid the deposit or did they say when they gave you the offer? Haven't paid my deposit yet, I'm putting that off...(Original post by ameliajane)

Re: Broadgate Park-ers!Yeah thats what confused me, a person their emailed me back saying i could except the offer as the expiry date was just for that not the payment.(Original post by GleekyTime-Lord)
Hey, yeah I was a bit confused too, but I accepted the offer and I'm pretty sure you have at least until september (before you arrive) to pay your deposit. But i'm not 100% sure.
- ive firmed to do chemistry
Actually hold up, if you go on this link and scroll down, it does say that a deposit is needed for them to process your application. So I'm guessing that means you wont know if you've got a room until you've paid.

I'm hoping they can let me pay in instalments though, I better make a phone call now then :/ -

Re: Broadgate Park-ers!Sorry its a bit late only just saw this. I emailed another woman and asked if i could pay in 3 installments of £100 and 2 £75 payments over the course of April and May. The person said it was fine and added a note to my account, also to just to email if their was any change of plans.(Original post by Felinori)

I logged into the website thing with the login details they emailed me and confirmed. It said the flat number and everything on their before I'd paid the deposit so it should be on there if you log in

Re: Broadgate Park-ers!
Hi guys, would also very much like to know where to find your flat numbers. I've accepted and paid but when I look at the contract details it just says 'Hall Broadgate Park' and a blank next to property.
Edit: Also a quick/random question- I have a tonne of posters I'd like to bring but the terms are a little confusing. It doesn't seem to be saying posters are prohibited, just marks..? Would white tak be sufficient or does Broadgate Park not tolerate posters at all?Fixing posters or anything else to the walls, doors, ceilings or window-frames is likely to leave a mark, even if You use things which are supposed not to
mark. We will not allow marks from pins, tape, blu-tak and so on as fair wear
and tear: We will treat them as Damage.Last edited by Arfo; 18-07-2012 at 00:32. -
Re: Broadgate Park-ers!I gather that posters are cool just the blu tack mark that may be left is classed as 'damage'.(Original post by Arfo)

Re: Broadgate Park-ers!
Hey guys!
I am going to live in a studio at BGP next year too!
I am a bit worried because I live in France and I have no idea of how exactly it is!
I am curious and cannot wait until September ^^ so is there anyone who has pictures of a room?
I saw the one on the website but there are not the entire room (could not see the bathroom).
How do you know that you are living in a new or old block?
See ya =) -
Re: Broadgate Park-ers!
I don't live in broad gate park, but I managed to see one of the rooms after a night out doing campus 14
All I can say is, the one room I saw (don't know if all rooms are like this) was nice but I advise you, make sure you thoroughly memorise how to get to your room and back... Get a map or something, freaking maze
Though perhaps this experience of mine could have been biased... I could have sworn I was not drunk at all but some others disagreedLast edited by Dmon1Unlimited; 11-08-2012 at 13:10. -
Re: Broadgate Park-ers!White tak tends to leave a mark too and if they consider a wall damaged, they can/probably will charge you for the wall repainting. I know Unite charge about £60 per wall, not sure about BGP so it's a bit of a risk!(Original post by Arfo)

Re: Broadgate Park-ers!Spoiler:ShowIt was one of those very fortunate very weird times when you drink and don't seem to be hindered. First time I did it, I needed help walking home
This time, apart from feeling like I ate too much food, I otherwise felt fine haha
No hang over or illness the next day... Though I didn't finish it
Not sure why
That said.... TSR.... drink responsibly

) I'm gonna risk if and bring a couple small posters, they haven't left marks on my home walls.
Oh and I contacted the Broadgate admins, they said most people will find out their specific residence 2 weeks before arrival for those curious as to where exactly they will be living.
