Formal or Informal approaches to Social Work?
I was wondering what people thought about formal vs. informal approaches to social work. Are formal approaches better in some situations with certain service users? Or do they always intimidate service users?

e.g. During risk assessments a formal approach should be used to ensure the service users know it is serious
