Does going on a high protein and high carb diet make you gain weight.

I was just wondering as i was looking to gain some pounds of fat.

with that kind of diet you can gain muscle with a gym routine.

No: a calorie surplus makes you gain weight.

Most naturally skinny people just end up putting fat around their abdomen from overeating though mate, you'll likely look no different with your shirt on.

Don't worry about being the skinny guy, at least people there can see that you're doing something about it. The only people there that'll be (silently) judging you are bellends, their opinion doesn't matter anyway. and there are probably more people there just like yourself. We all have to start somewhere

Not in and of itself - the only thing that causes fat gain is caloric surplus, i.e. eating more than you expend.

Are you telling me that you are so cripplingly self conscious about being a skinny guy in a gym, that you would rather be a fat or chubby guy in a gym? Because if you gain fat, you can't turn that into muscle, and it won't make you look bigger. It'll just make you look ****ter.
