Yep - that might prove difficult! I have my Literacy one on Friday but have left my Numeracy 'til the Easter week purely because I am hoping the longer I leave it, the more chance it will just disappear.. haha.

What did you think of the tests we did on the day? My interview was at 12:30, was overwhelmed by the number of people there!

I've had an offer for Primary Maths on UCAS! The professional skills tests weren't too horrendous. I found the maths practice tests quite difficult but the real one was ok.

Congratulations everyone, very pleased for you all  I have my interview at Edge Hill next month for Primary Maths Specialism and I feel a weird mix of apprehension and excitement haha.

How did you all feel your Maths/English/Science tests went? I'm not quite as confident in Science as I am in the other two so I'm trying to buff up on that

I have a Conditional offer for Primary PGCE with English, absolutely made up! I think the Maths/English/Science tests were fine, I used BBC Bitesize KS3 to revise and it proved really helpful as many questions related to what I had been revising. Good luck with your interview :-)

Thanks a lot  Yes I'd been using Bitesize KS3 but was just a bit worried I'd end up going off on a tangent, so you've reassured me! And congratulations on your offer!

My interview is tomorrow. What educational issues did you talk about? In my school direct interview I talked about the new national curriculum and the challenges that it may bring. I said about maths being made harder for lower primary and how some people may find this difficult and the teachers may struggle to get the children to target.

The interviewer near bit my head off and said we should have high expectations for children!

Any thoughts or advice please, don't want to mess this one up by saying the wrong thing.

I was asked about how I would managing behaviour, what current issues do I know of that are relevant in education (spoke of the money that is being put into sport over the next 5 yrs), what do I know about a Teachers day to day life, how I would manage my workload etc. I referred a lot to what I have observed in the classroom. Go onto to the BBC Education site and have a a look at recent issues. Sure you will be fine, the person who interviewed me made me feel very comfortable. Good luck!

Had my interview today! The interview part went well but I found the maths test hard. I've convinced myself I've failed :frown: I've passed the maths skills test but this was so different.

Anyone feel like they'd messed the tests up when they left the interview?

The maths test isnt a test, its an audit.. to see how much you know and if you need enhancement
