Python/javascript and facebook.

I was wondering whether there was a way to send a Facebook message using python and also take inputs from the received Facebook messages. I also would not mind doing it in java script. I have made myself a facebook developer but do not know where to go from now.

I have found this but do not know what to do to put it into a full program
