computing science = computer science?
Was looking at Aston university's Comp Sci and they call their course BSc Computing Science and just wondering if that's the same thing as computer science?

There's no way of telling by the name, regardless of what people tell you. If the course content compares to CompSci at other universities (it probably does) then yes, they're equivalent.
Doesn't the course code also give you an idea, G400 being the standard code for CS?

It would, but then universities can decide on their own course content within CS so it wouldn't ensure a real standardisation of learning.
