I'll join, all my photos are my deviantart page: http://minniesorani.deviantart.com/

I haven't got much and haven't currently got time to take many photos but with a gap year coming up and trips to Cala Galdana (Menorca) and London, I'm going to try my luck.

Everybody who shoots analogue, whats your favorite way of getting pics onto PC?

Me and my ancient Minolta SLR have tried all sortsa flatbed scanners and film scanners over the years, and ive never found anything I was happy with.
Are really expensive film scanners the only way to go?

Recently I started getting my pictures processed into digital images, onto a CD or emailed to me, which is brilliant. But I still have a huge lump of pictures (most without negatives!) that id like to scan in.

i usually have to use a flat bed scanner.

i actually prefer 'film' cameras because they don't produce crisp pictures, which can be good.

the flat bed scanner can really bugger things up. i mean, you get bits of dust, the image isn't clear, and sometimes it takes about 20 re-scans to get anything that is worthy of uploading anywhere.

bleugh.

Scanning from negative will get you the best results, as the scanning can penetrate the neg, where it has problems with the gloss on photos.
The best named scanners out there are hasselblad, but they are not cheap.
Some flatbeds can scan 4000dpi, when 1000 is ample for a 4x6 image.
Only downfall with scanning is it so time consuming.
Im sure a few setting tweak could help.

amist all the problems that india has, it still manages to promote coca cola.
