Uclan nursing with functional skills

Hi I've applied to do an access to nursing course & functional skills level 2 alongside. I've spoken to the tutor today and she has said people get offered interviews who have completed functional skills but to date no one at uclan has been offered a place ?!? I won't be applying till next yr but found this hard to believe .... Has anyone received an offer with the access course & functional skills ? My gcses in math an English were a d & f grade .. Thanks for reading
