Ah, I know right! (although I haven't experienced the dripping saliva o_o). The last time that happened to me I just dropped the pen on the floor a minute after they handed it back... with hindsight I should've let them keep it.

I really can't fathom what's so appetising about chewing pens though!? It's disgusting; even more so when it's someone else's pen...the hand germs D:
