BCU accommodation

Hi
I have applied to study at BCU in September.
However now that i am picking my accommodation i don't know which ones are the best (as in living wise) and which are the most sociable so far I have only looked at Curzon and Jennens which would you recommend?
by the way I will be studying at city north.

I am in the same position! I will be at City North Campus however I do not want to travel every day so I put Oscotts Garden as my first choice and Unite as my second, Jennens as my third! I would of put Coppice but I have to have an en suite!lol. Have you decided which one you going to choose? What you going to be studying?

Hey guys
Im stuck toooo!!!

I am going to be based at city north campus, but i was really not keen on Oscott Gardens. I went to the open day.

I was going to put it as my first choice but im thinking to put cuzon first as I am super fussy about my living needs.

Do you think it would be too far to travel for lectures?

I only put Oscotts Garden as my first choice because I did not want to travel every day. I've had enough of travelling to college! Plus I thought you would be able to socialise more with people who study in the same campus. If you do not mind the bus/train journey you will be fine at Curzon as it did look a lot nicer than Oscotts.
I'm putting Jennens court as my first choice as it's closest to Margaret Street
I only skim read the bit of text about a deposit and now can't seem to find it... can anyone confirm how much the deposit was??

I'm a current BCU student in my first year and living in student accom. for my second year too. I currently live at the Heights and am staying at the Heights next year also. Lots of you seem to be at City North/Perry Barr. I live with 2 flatmates who are both at Perry Barr campus and have lots of friends who are in that campus. I'd say Oscott Gardens is very good for all Perry Barr attendees, however the bulk of students are in City Centre. Jennens court is nice and it's about half a mile from town, the Heights and Curzon Gateway are equidistant from town at about a mile/mile and a half depending which way you go.

Hit me up on here if you need to ask any more questions about BCU/accom. They really F'd up my accom application last year so I'd like to help as many of you guys as I can so it doesn't happen to you!

hey did you have to pay your booking fee when you applied or after the uni made you an offer?
How long does it take from the heights to get to perry Barr and how large are the beds for classic en suite?

Not necessarily! Phone up the Heights/talk to them reception team when you move in and tell them the situation. They will likely ask you to put some money down/will flat out say that it's okay to pay once the student finance comes in, happens all the time. They let me pay £200 instead of £500 on the day I moved in because of it
Hey guys, not sure if you've decided yet...
From Jennens Court / Curzon Gateway, you're looking at about a 20 min walk to New Street Station to get the train from New St - Perry Barr which takes 10 mins. Perry Barr station is practically opposite the City North campus. Alternatively you can walk to Corporation Street from JC / CG and get the bus - probably about 30 mins again.
Alternatively there is Hamstead student halls which is closer to City North.
