Yet another Edexcel FM module allocation question...

Is the following combination possible (Edexcel) :
FM AS: S1, FP1, D1
FM A2: S2, FP2, FP3

i.e can I have both FP2 and FP3 at A2?
Yes.

Yes.

So A2 modules don't have to be 'paired' with their AS counterparts?

They normally do require them as a prerequisite, so S2 requires S1 and FP2 and FP3 require FP1, but they don't have to be paired with them if that's what you mean.

My thought exactly; it led me to the conclusion that either FP2 or FP3 would be paired with FP1, not both.

As long as both are accepted, that suits me fine
You need FP1 for FP2 and FP3, but you do not need FP2 to do FP3.

[Personally prefer FP2 to FP3]

That's okay I've learnt both anyway.

I agree, FP2 does seem marginally better, despite the complex number loci!
