Yeah, that is point of socialising. I was trying to share my view. Muslim girls are so different but you can see some trends.

I know what you're trying to say, I'm just implying that all the things you said about "muslim girls" can be applied to pretty much any group, and/or just people in general, making the statements redundant.

Really? All Muslim girls are conservative and unapproachable? Bit of a bold statement to make..

You know what the problem is 'I find it hard to mingle and interact with them', then you automatically assume that 'some are really narrow-minded' but you've already pre judged them, also I think you're the 'judgmental' one here.
no I used term "some", some said really mean stuffs about the way I practice or the way I dress Don't really care though! I am open to anyone as long as they respect me, and some have a certain lack of respect and decency. I'm cool with the rest of nice muslim girls

Not all but that's the general perception

Trust me, that really isn't the case.
It's incredible how many judgemental, ignorant people are on this website where I assumed there'd be mainly intelligent people. I CHOOSE to wear the hijab, why is that your problem? How does that affect your life if I want to cover myself? And people say that religious believers are narrow minded... hypocrites.

waooh never said religious persons are narrow-minded, just some feel they have the right to judge ppl on their look. Just because you wear or not wear a hijab make you religious?? You are free to practice the way you want

Well those people who judge on looks need to get over themselves. And of course there are Muslims who are more religious and don't wear the hijab, but my problem is that there are cretins on here saying they judge those who do wear the hijab for no other reason than the fact that they hate religion. Quite pathetic really.

Personally, I'd get to know someone's personality and how they treat people as an indication of their character. Not their religious beliefs. But I guess we're all entitled to our own stupid opinion.

I'm loving how you said that, like its something to boast about.

Im not boasting. I'm simply telling him it does happen. Most my mates are muslim girls and the girls that I hang around with. You'd be surprised at some of the things that ive heard and that goes on.

if they are normal individuals who don't live their lives too radically different (and by different I mean ideologically and religiously, though not culturally, and by different I mean different in a negative way) from others then I have no problems at all with them, and I regard them the same as I would regard christians, jews, etc. it's only the ones that wear the head garments that exert themselves to be "radical"; it would be as if a christian were dressed as a nun, etc, and I'd reasonably infer that they'd take their unintelligent religion fairly seriously which would be quite disturbing in terms of the implications

Ah, you're one of those 'racists in disguise' who pretend to be all accepting:
'I have no problems at all with them'

But are actually narrow minded, hateful individuals- a few of my favourites:
'normal individuals'
'it's only the ones who wear head garments who [are] radical'
'unintelligent religion'

Also one of those who pretends to be well spoken but has crap grammar.

But alot of people are judgemental. Some white people assume that a womans oppressed if they see one wearing a niqab. Isn't that judging?

Iv'e always assumed you're male, therefore how should you know if Muslims girls are approachable or not?
I go to an Islamic Girls school, I can assure you that it isn't the case. Obviously not everyone is, but generally, they are.

how is a religion a race? if you honestly are that unprincipled to think that all muslims are of the same race then I think you're the person who is racist, or at least extremely generalising/sterotyping.

and islam is an extremely unreasonable religion given the rules that one must abide by, e.g. the misogynistic, homophobic, anti freedom of speech/religion, and of course the murderous ones. I'm not going to hide this fact simply because some muslims are of a different race. if I'm not allowed to be critical of a religion because of the race of some of the followers, would that mean that black people can't criticise nazis or stalinists because nazis and stalinists all tended to be white? and yes, I'm putting ideology and religion into the same category here, the only difference between the two is that one of them is supernatural.

and you think I pretend to be well spoken? I can only take that as a compliment if the only short-coming you can see is my grammatical tendency to shorten/simplify my sentences by putting "e.g./etc" and commas instead of full stops, or putting capital letters each time I begin a new sentence because that's a waste of my time.
