AS AQA history exam structure

Any tips for AQA AS exam strucutre to get an A? I am always getting C grades in my essays...
I am doing HIS1G Britain 1815-1865
I am also doing HIS2M - Life in Nazi germany

Yeh for my teacher that teaches the nazi germany unit. But my british history teacher is not so helpful :s-smilie:. Lol oh well im going to use your advise anyway.
