Maintenance Laan
My loan has been approved, but I didn't get as much as I applied for. I'm not sure I completed the forms correctly as they seem to be geared towards school leavers still at home; I'm an independant of 36 years of age and rent a room from a work friend.
Do I appeal, or can Icheck with someone that I completed the form correctly?
Also, is my application also for the maintenance 'grant', or do I need to do this separately? I haven't heard back with reagrds to the grant.

I'd suggest ringing them. Generally as an independent student it will be done on how much you earned over the previous tax year. There should be a calculator that will allow you to estimate how much you may be entitled to.
