Applying for second year DSA

Hey,

I may be stupid (and could be a stupid question?!), but anyway on the form for SFE (online), do I have to indicate that I want to receive DSA in my second year or is this done automatically??

Another thing, do I have to fill out another form for DSA as my advisor at uni said there is a short form that will take about 15- 20 minutes to do?? is that right.

Thanks in advance.
I was awarded DSA for the duration of my course.

DSA is awarded for the duration of a course, but if I recall correctly with SFE you have to indicate on each year's funding application (the short form) that you want funding to continue. I think its just a tick box. I'd assume the online forms are the same, but if in doubt check with the funding body.
I have just gone through this process for my second year.

You have to reapply for each year you are on the course. So fill in that form. This is due to funding to your college/Uni if you have a note taker, 1-2-1 lessons etc. Don't worry though, if you're needs have not changed, they just send you a page letter saying that your funding is simply carrying on.
I didn't.
As NJones says, I just ticked a box.
