Dissertation - Need to contact SMEs

Hey guys,

I'm slightly stuck with my dissertation. My subject is studying the advantages of Social Media and what it could bring to rural SMEs.

I want to contact a lot more SMEs so I can send out a questionnaire and then proceed to gather results before my hand in date.

Problem is, I can't seem to find a way of getting a list of contact details for SMEs. I've asked some federations and other places that help new businesses, but I've been declined as I am a student..

Anyone got some advice?
