Haha, Thanks although i don't think they are all that great, and i'm stressed out for my exam haha!
Too much repetition of similar phrases 'ce sera', 'c'etait' and 'c'est'. They all mean the same thing, just in different tenses
Not enough reasons for things/insufficient reasons for things. As an example: On devrait construire plus de zones pietonnes!- Here, you could have explained exactly why they should, expanding your answer and making it into a complex sentence.
I have a bit more to say, but I'm starting to sound horrible. I'm not trying to be mean, just brutally honest  It's already pretty good, probably A/A* standard, but I just think you could add to it more to make it a definite A* Good luck!

There are a few grammatical mistakes in there, and sometimes your reasons are a bit off. I like doing this because it's great or I didn't like doing that because it sucked for instance. At my school you'd get a 6/10 (or lower), but I think you'd get An A or a B in England  So all in all, you're doing well! Of course, your pronunciation can change your grade.

What exam board are you with?
I'm with WJEC and for my conversation speaking my answers were much shorter (I had a couple more questions maybe 16-20) and I got 19/20 so I think you should be fine with that.. Just focus on your accuracy and pronunciation.

I used to go to the European school  French grading was notoriously harsh, especially on oral exams. Such a pain  Even native speakers had a hard time getting more than 8/10.

AQA are pretty harsh with their marking and mark scheme. I do AQA too xD

I used to love French  it was all about analysing wonderful literature, choosing your words meticulously, defending your argument well... It was great! It was lovely to be challenged like that, it pushes you to do better. I ended up dropping it in favour of English though
:frown: The only oral exam I did in French was my history one.

Are you enjoying A-level/GCSE (?) French?

Most of my GCSE exams are done by AQA, and i took an early entry GCSE (Business and Communications) last year, and that was also by AQA, it was pretty tough! But i still came out with an A, so hopefully i'll do ok, i just hope i pass!

Wow, the french you did in school sounds great! In my school, all we do is read passages, answer questions, listen to recorded french people, answer questions, do past papers and learn vocab/grammar. It's incredibly dull. Perhaps I should join a European school
You did a history oral.. In french?! That's incredible.

Not exactly (and GCSE, by the way). It's very repetitive and dull. I love the language itself, but the lessons bore me xD

My school actually chose French for me, so i had to do it. I thought i was going to hate it as in Year 7,8 and 9 i had. But i actually really like GCSE French, and i'm glad my school forced me to take it, otherwise i wouldn't even considered taking it!

It was  All French teachers were incredibly passionate about the literature they made us read. A lot of students didn't like it though  They either felt it was too hard, or just ridiculous. You know they whole 'the curtains are blue' means the curtains are blue not the main character had an abusive mother and he's hiding his trauma  If you like languages and are interested in different European cultures I really encourage you to do so!
History and Geography are taught in your second language

I'm sorry to hear that :frown: I guess it's partly because learning a new language requires a lot of repetition, but it would be lovely if you could read some good books or watch good films  I've found reading and enjoying french music/films really helps with learning  It also helps you pick up the culture

Why can they choose your subjects? :O It's good you like it now though! Is it because the level has gone up and you get to do more of the fun stuff now because you've got the basics down?

Because i'm in the top sets my school thought i was capable of doing the English Baccalaureate, which meant i had to do English, Maths, Science, A language (which was french) and a humanities (which i got to choose either history or geography). Aswell as this, my school has a christian ethos, which means all of its students have to take religion and life too. So in the end i had to choose one subject out of around 20 and it was a very hard choice! There were multiple ones i wanted to do, such as Graphics and Child Development, but in the end i took Business studies as i already have a GCSE in that subject area (Business & Communications).

So now i study... English Lit, English Language, Statistics (Another option chosen by my school), Maths, History, Business Studies, Religion and Life, Core Science, Additional Science and French!

What do you study?

Ah, the infamous 'the curtains are blue' That would be rather interesting to attempt in French though, especially as I probably wouldn't be able to get that in English  Languages are pretty much my life, I love them  I'm definitely going to look into it
And wow, that's awesome. That means that by the time you leave, you're pretty much fluent?

That's a great idea actually. I think I will find some french books in my local library and perhaps start listening to some music  I've heard that totally immersing yourself in a language can work wonders for your learning xD I'm doing this at the moment with Korean, however quite unsuccessfully. It's hard because their writing system is so different to ours and I haven't bothered to go over basically grammar rules
