How important are MBA rankings?

Following on from my last thread, how important is the reputation of the course and the business school when selecting an MBA?

I mean as a rule of thumb the impression I seem to be under is that aslong as it has accreditation from one of the AACSB, EQUIS or AMBA (or double or triple) and a position in the major top 100 global mba rankings e.g. FT rankings, then it's a decent course?

Or would selecting a course with the accreditation but no position in the top 100 still be ok?
