So, no problems there.

Good thing all round surely if 1 in 30 £ coins are currently fake. It looks decent too.


Apparently most vending machines scan coins by measuring their diameter, and the 50p and 20p have a constant diameter. A coin with an even number of sides cannot have a constant diameter however.

No, cash is essential because it keeps power with the people rather than the banks and the tax authorities. Why would you want to conduct your economic activity in bank scrip, which is not legal tender, not owned by you and could be cancelled or raided at any time?
