Japan is what we should base our society on.

You're beginning to delve in the philosophical debate of whether or not free will is a good thing.

And anyway, Japanese society still has stupidity, it still has loutish behaviour, it's just 'done' differently.

Which is a debate that's entirely different.

I'm aware it does. I said that. It still has crime. But it's like I would say about the middle classes here. Yes, they still get up to loutish behaviour but it's handled differently and kept in house, while the lower classes seem happy to parade themselves around like some village fair act.
I like the anime.

No thanks.

The Nordic Model would get my vote any day of the week.

They also can't remotely handle their alcohol (half a can of beer and they'd be trollied).
Been to Japan, great country! but i wouldn't say its perfect it has a lot of perils. Its not as social as Canada for example, people do tend to keep to themselves. Its definitely got high morals/respect for others.

The toilets are YEARS a head.

You are completely missing the point. Completely. Take for example your first muddled reply about how it's more economic to turn your car off. That might be the case but it wasn't my point. It was the level of trust that I was talking about. You leave your key in and keep the engine running yet it doesn't get stolen. Imagine doing that in Britain. Some chav would have nabbed it by now.

They have a vast array. Some good, some normal, some holes like the one I posted - found in Kutchan Station, on Hokkaido.

I'd rather have a superior product overall than some useless boring socialist toilets keeping us in the Victorian era since were so lazy and dumb to do anything.

To be fair some of their tv shows seem more interesting than ours. If slightly (very) disturbing

Tbh until toilets don't do the job adequately, I don't think they'll change much here lol

To be fair, our toilets make us do things, it's the Japanese toilets that encourage laziness - everything being done by buttons.

Some would say it's a good thing. Look at our freedom in society and how our society is full of stupid yobs.

Not long ago the Government were ****ting themselves with the police past breaking point, it was only cold rain that stopped London an several other cities turning into ungovernable hellholes as violence spread across the nation.
The Japanese sat open mouthed watching what was going on here.
I am sure they would have a good laugh at any one here putting down their society.
so how do you suggest we accomplish the acquisition of homogeneous morals?

kill the poor?
kill/deport the immigrants?
