Durham University 2014 Primary Ed Student - Living at Home

I started uni last September at Edge Hill doing Primary Ed. But hated being away from home and didn't like the uni so dropped out to take a gap year. Now I've firmed Durham for September 2014 Entry for the same course, but because I live so close to campus I'll be living at home.
I am not big into partying/clubbing/drinking so I'm afraid that I will be out of the loop in terms of making friends and socialising anyway, on top of not living in halls. I'm quite a shy and quiet person, but when I am in a situation with people I don't know I will quite happily chat to them and stuffs, I'm just not as outgoing as most people.
Just wanting to know if anybody else will be in the same/similar boat in September or of anybody has already what advice they can give. :smile:
