Urgent calling all nottingham students. Self catered or catered????

I received my offer from Nottingham, and now stuck in a dilemma on whether to go catered or self catered! Where do you think its best to stay in your first year at Notthingham? Will i be missing out socially if i stay at for example Broadgate Park rather than one of the halls in the University Park? Helppppppp

I know somebody who went into catered halls at Nottingham Uni and they said it helped them socialise and meet new people more easily, because I guess you saw and ate with different people nearly three times a day...

Totally personal preference. BGP and UP halls all have great social atmospheres. In self-catered you will spend more time with your flatmates and get to know them really well when cooking and sharing a kitchen. In catered you'll eat with everyone else and that has benefits for meeting new people

CATERED 10000000%.

far more sociable because you can choose your own friends instead of just being put in a flat with randomers, the emphasis is really on catered halls at Nottingham. the food is amazing.

message me if you want more info!
Catered, no doubt about it! In non-catered you get to know your flatmates and maybe 1 other flat if you're lucky, in catered you know your hallmates and loads of people from other blocks. I barely don't recognise a face in my catered halls
