Second order graphs

Hey, this might seem a simple question but i can't find an answer anywhere.

Why are there two graphs which show second order?

One with rate against concentration - A curve
One with rate against concentration squared - A straight line

So could someone simply explain why second order has two curves where as first and zero order only have one, many thanks

You can plot as many curves as you want:

rate against C
rate against C2
rate against C3
rate against C4
rate against C5
...

Doesn't mean they all make sense, but you can draw as many as you like. However, if one of them is a straight line, it stands out and shows we are on to something.
