TSR Bollywood Society
Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyTo me it doesnt, its just looks like endless nonsense, but thats my opinion(Original post by MostCompetitive)
Interesting. It looks very entertaining from what's shown in the trailer, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Can't be serious films all the time. Entertainment is the main purpose of cinema after all. Most people don't like all 3 Khans, and I don't get that.
. Theres nothing wrong with COMEDY, BUT not what they tend to show
theres a difference between good comedy, action etc and bad comedy...which is what those films show
I love SRK and Amir, their films are worth watching
(Original post by rbnphlp)
from reading the previous posts, that was the general gist I got .
but hey welcome to the salman khan hate club
, might even start a society for that
im proud to be part of it.....lol thats an idea

Re: TSR Bollywood Society
Salman Khan is pretty good, I've seen some really good performances from him. But I personally rate Aamir and Shahrukh ahead of him. I remember someone on here posting something that I agree with very much, that Shahrukh and Aamir are defined by their acting whereas Salman Khan has been defined more by his looks and body.
Anyway I was watching a compilation video and came across this song, very pleasing to the ear!

Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyGood song. I'm surprised that nobody has posted it before. Yes, I think Salman has given some really good performances, but he needs to make his talent in the acting department shine through more by picking more performance-based scripts for his films.(Original post by Deshi)

Have you seen the movie behind that song, which is called 'Race' (2008)? If not, you should see it. -
Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyThe dance steps of that song + tere mast mast do nain became very popular, very quickly. The dance steps in the songs of his forthcoming romantic action comedy 'Ready' have the potential to match them. Some of them are shown in this:(Original post by prospectivEEconomist)
Dabangg=title song=most epic dance ever. Ever. Yes you heard me right.

Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyAh, another one who prefers movies in the romance genre. Those of you who haven't seen the three legendary movies in that genre: DDLJ, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and Maine Pyar Kiya should definitely watch them.(Original post by Nash24)
Omg I think I feel right at home here
Favourite Bollyood film is definitely Jaane tu ya jaane na...aaah sooo cute

Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyWell bollywood is known for its romance...(Original post by MostCompetitive)

Which genre are you into then? -
Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyIt is one of those songs that stays in your head + is pleasing to the ear.(Original post by InItToWinItGetIt?)
Addicted to this song atm:
Nice to see some of the contestants who were in the reality shows Voice of India, Sare ga ma pa and Indian Idol got their chance to shine in playback singing as well.
Currently, these three are my favourites. I guess you can just listen to them a lot.

Re: TSR Bollywood SocietyGetting up to date I see. Yes, the music is good, but the story isn't. Don't know what Akshay Kumar's playing at these days(Original post by blush.ox)
saw 'Action replay' last night
the film itself was typical bollywood
though some parts/scenes were ok i guess
what i really liked was the music, some awesome songs i've got to admit
would recommend the music
not the film/story
It really is just the 3 Khans dominating at the moment. Not seeing much new talent.
Don't tell me you haven't seen MPK yet. You should also watch Guzaarish with Hrithik if you haven't seen it. Also, since you've seen both MNIK and Dabangg, you will enjoy the comedy scene below, featuring Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Below that is one of the best songs from Action Replayy.

Actually that guy playing akshay's son, who was also in Guzaarish, dont know his name
is actually prty good, i have a feeling hes going to be given alot of attention etc, he could be really good
nope havent seen MPK yet, but yeh i've seen Guzaarish, would recommend that as its diff from the usual bolly
lol @the scene, its good and so is that song, my personal fav is the other slow-ish one with ash on her own, not remembering the name ofc
