Whether you think cinema died with Hitchcock or only got good once Michael Bay started blowing up helicopters, this is the place where moving pictures are discussed.

ahh, i was suposed to go watch it last week, but had work, so missed it, and nw everyone is saying how good it was, makes me wanna go watch it already tried, none came up
I've had a look myself and you're right - there are no websites offering a link to watch the movie online. That's quite odd - I was under the impression that there would be copies of Housefull 2 everywhere because it's so popular. I guess it must be because of SOPA cutting down on internet movies.

The only thing I can suggest is that you wait until Housefull 2 comes out on DVD in 2-3 months when there will be many genuine copies available. For now though, here are some other comedies you might be interested in:

    -Housefull (the first installment)
    -Heyy Babyy
    -Partner
    -Rascals
    -Golmaal 1-3
    -Chalo Dilli
    -Dostana
    -Ready
    -Mujhse Shaadi Karogi
    -Desi Boyz
    -Salaam Namaste
    -Hum Tum
    -Welcome
    -Singh Is Kinng
    -I Hate Luv Storys
    -Break Ke Baad
    -Ek Main Aur Ek Tu

Not sure what else you can do - sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Who do you think is the current reigning queen of item songs in Bollywood?
Choose one of the following actresses or tell me about any others whom you think deserve the title!

-Katrina Kaif (Chikni Chameli, Sheila Ki Jawani, Zara Zara Touch Me, Bodyguard)

-Malaika Arora Khan (Chaiyya Chaiyya, Munni Badnaam, Anarkali Disco Chali)

-Mallika Sherawat (Dil Lagi, Jalebi Bai, Mehbooba, Laila)

-Bipasha Basu (Beedi, Ho Gayi Tun, Bipasha, Lucky Boy, No Entry)

-Kareena Kapoor (Chhaliya, Yeh Mera Dil, Dil Mera Muft Ka)

-Aishwarya Rai (Kajra Re, Ishq Kamina, Crazy Kiya Re)

    -Deepika Padukone (Dum Maaro Dum)
Well, I'm against the current item song craze, but the original, real trend-setting number (Malaika Arora in Dabangg) has to be the best, just because it was the original item number.

Hopefully, after 'Ek Tha Tiger' releases, global action movies will start pouring out of India. SK is the trend-setter. By the way, the first teaser of Ek Tha Tiger will release with 'Ishaqzaade' next month.

I was disappointed with the 'Rowdy Rathore' trailer. It looks like another attempt to imitate 'Dabangg', going by the feel of the trailer. I wouldn't mind it if the trailer had more to it.

I'm looking forward to catching 'Tezz' next weekend.

Saw Sriram Raghavan's 'Johnny Gaddaar' for like the 7th time yesterday. It's definitely one of the finest Indian thrillers to ever be released.

Vidya Balan is definitely going to get all the awards again for 'Kahaani'. A must watch.

I agree, I think Malaika Arora Khan is one of the best item girls in Bollywood at the moment. She definitely set the bar very high with Chaiyya Chaiyya back in the early 90's, and then blew everyone away with Munni Badnaam. I think item songs are completely unique and are what make Bollywood movies so endearing - so I can't understand why you don't like them! I do think Katrina Kaif deserves a lot of credit for Chikni Chameli and Bodyguard too, they were also amazing!

I've read that Katrina will also be doing an item number in Dabangg 2. I'm looking forward to seeing that!

Bollywood is definitely on a high with action movies at the moment (and they keep getting better), although it would be great to see more in the near future. We've had hits like Dhoom 1 & 2, Agent Vinod, Wanted, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Don 1 & 2, etc. Salman Khan does seem to be leading the way with his pledge of releasing at least 1 action movie every year, but I also believe Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan can easily compete with Salman. AK is the original Khiladi of Bollywood while Ajay has gained most of his success from action movies like Phool Aur Kaante, Singham, Khakee, Major Saab and now Tezz.

I beg to differ on your opinion of the Rowdy Rathore trailer - I reckon we just haven't seen enough of the action and romance in RR that would allow us to make a good comparison with Dabangg. I think it has taken a lot of inspiration from Dabangg, but it will be completely different in many ways. So far I think the one-liners in RR are pretty imaginative, especially "Jo mein bolta hoon, woh mein karta hoon. Jo mein nahin bolta hoon, woh mein definitely karta hoon" and "Don't angry me"

I'm looking forward to seeing Tezz and Ishaqzaade. They both look like great entertainers and very different from what's been done already in Bollywood. I actually haven't seen Kahaani yet (missed it at the cinema), although I'm looking to download a copy off the internet and see what I think. It's an unusual story but, if done well (which it clearly has been), can be successful.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Teri Meri Kahani, as I followed the filming quite closely while it was being made in the UK. I'm interested to see how Shahid and Priyanka work so well together on screen again after Kaminey.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I loved the trailer a lot more than I would for most other movies so I'm really looking forward to seeing it!

From what I've read, it's a unique and interesting story they've used, and something that challenges stigma as well as making good comedy!

It's not an absolute requirement though, most users I've seen don't officially join the society - they just make posts in this thread. Hope that helps.

What was the last Bollywood movie you saw? And what did you think of it?

Has anyone seen the film 7 Welcome To London? If so, what did you think of it? Was the acting/story/direction any good? I've heard bits of information and seen a few trailers/music videos but haven't come across any reviews or ratings. It starred Asad Shaan, who was previously a VJ on Zee TV and presented programmes like Brit's Bollywood.

Speaking of British Bollywood actors, what's happened to Upen Patel? I commented on this a while ago and nobody seems to have a clue where he's gone. Fair enough, his last few films didn't do that well but that hasn't stopped many other actors from maintaining a great innings in Bollywood - and Upen hasn't been seen in any film or reported to be filming anything for 3 years now (since Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in 2009). Sure some actors like to take their sweet time with every film they make (ahem Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan), but Upen's disappearance is very unusual. Last I heard, he was being taken under the wing of Suneel Darshan who contributed to Akshay Kumar's success.

Other than Asad, Upen and Armaan Kimani, are there any other leading Bollywood actors from Britain that anyone has heard of...?

Me too, I just love the songs Rum Whisky and Paani Da Rang! I've read that Ayushmann has signed another film with the same director from Vicky Donor so if this turns out to be a hit, I'll be waiting with much excitement for the next one!

Which other comedy films are you looking forward to?

The other day I watched a bit of 'Ekk Dewana Tha' ... Oh My Lord. It was so hilariously bad... I can't even explain it...
The actor looked confused all the time, and the girl (Amy or something) just stood there with a straight face - they dubbed her dialogues with someone else's voice as well.
    Don't watch it!

I saw Agent Vinod - not bad! Quite enjoyed it.
Also saw Kahaani, which was amazing.

Looking forward to Teri Meri Kahaani :woo:

Really want to see Vicky Donor as well

I've realised that Sonakshi Sinha has taken a page out of Kareena Kapoor's book and managed to fit 6 films into her schedule within 1 year! She will be starring in Joker, Rowdy Rathore, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 (all with Akshay Kumar) as well as Lootera, Son Of Sardar and Dabangg 2!

Without a doubt, Sonakshi will easily compete with other leading actresses for whom 2012 is a year packed full of blockbusters. Priyanka Chopra has Barfee, Teri Meri Kahani, Krrish 3 and the remake of Zanjeer. While Katrina Kaif has Ek Tha Tiger, Dostana 2, Dhoom 3, the untitled Yash Copra film and her next film with Imran Khan.

I've established that my 4 favourite actresses are Sonakshi, Kareena, Priyanka and Katrina. Closely followed by Madhuri Dixit, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee, Karisma Kapoor and Manisha Koirala. So tell me, fellow Bollywood fanatics: who are your favourite actresses?

I disagree - I found Ekk Deewana Tha to be a great film. I loved the songs and the romance that lasted all throughout. Prateik's acting was pretty good given that he has some experience already but, fair enough, Amy Jackson could have been better. Bear in mind that she's from Liverpool and this is her first film in Bollywood, probably after just a few months living in India full-time. She isn't as accustomed to south Indian culture as Prateik is (which he acknowledges in some interviews he's done with her). From what I've heard, the general consensus is that the original south Indian film (which Ekk Deewana Tha was based on) had a better story and acting. But I still think EDT was pretty decent for a Bollywood movie.

Unfortunately I missed Agent Vinod and Kahaani in the cinema, but I'm hoping to catch up soon! What did you think of them?

Definitely can't wait for Teri Meri Kahani, especially as it was filmed in several places really close to me! Hoping to catch Vicky Donor this weekend too, plus a couple more from the early 90's in my home collection.

Good choices! I agree, Priyanka was amazing in Fashion, as was Kangna Ranaut. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Kangna in Krrish 3 and Shootout At Wadala as I think she's a really underrated actress!

I haven't seen many films starring Urmila Matondkar or Juhi Chawla. Will hopefully catch up on some more of them and report back soon.
