Same, but it's easy, regarding you know the key concepts and definitions. The maths side isn't hard at all. At least for me...

Well I've got the may 2013 paper but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it? Like some tsr rules or something?
Also kinda looking forward to mechanics too oddly haha
Think it should be alright, here's the may 2013 paper

I'm also taking this exam. It's ok, nothing particularly hard, but I do find some of the harder calculation questions quite random; like in in the 2010 papers.

Does anyone know what full ums would (roughly) be? Is it 10 marks above the A boundary?

I'm not taking the exam this year since I'm in year 11 but have been attending AS physics lessons. Thank you for this thread will definitely come in handy

It's not permitted to post the paper until it is released by the exam board one year after the original date.

You can delete it yourself or wait for a mod to do it.
G481 is the easiest thing ever, so glad boundaries are low. Want the 100% UMS in Physics AS (exams at least)

Its the easiest Physics module yeah.

How do you know the boundaries will be low, and are you sitting this paper?

They always are.

And yeah I am!

Haha fair enough. I know it varies, but it your opinion what do you think 90UMS will be on this paper?

Lol, I had the impression that you were older. :colondollar:

Hmmmm... Around 50? Maybe. It really varies...

Impression from where?

Blimey, I hope so. That seems low. I'm probably wrong about this but I thought that OCR UMS was calculated as a scale factor per se. e.g. if 43 is an A, then 52 would be 81 UMS like that.

You have over 40000 posts here

How are you finding G482

If you give me an A and b boundary, I'll give a guess as to the UMS.

I do :colondollar:

Harder but I'm going to revise it today.

Ah cool. My teachers don't know how it works.
So i.e. June 2013 - 43 was an A and 38 was a B. Would 54 perhaps be 90UMS then.

Haha xD

Yeah same

Oh when you said 90 I assumed %

53 would be 90 UMS. So (100%)

Oh haha, I probably should have elaborated that :P

That seems pretty decent. Last question on the topic of UMS - is there are formula to working it out or are you making an educated guess
