Old Gits ....

I guess I'm what you could probably class as "mature"...so any advice for an old git on how to apply or even get the necessary qualifications required when all you have is good old fashioned O levels, achieved long before everything was uploaded into the memory of Big Brother?
When looking at university websites they normally have a section labelled "mature students", either look on there, or if that doesnt work im sure you can email universities?
Also, open university courses and various enterprises offer opportunities to study for gcse's and the a levels if thats what you want to do before you apply?

You have to know what you will study.

And which universities you want to apply to.

You do this via UCAS. Google UCAS. Courses start in September.

You usually need A levels - which take 2 years. Or you can get an access to higher education diploma which you can do at a local college. That lasts one year.

You then apply on the UCAS website by submitting your details and your qualifications. You can apply for 5 courses. Then the universities decide to accept your application or not.

Google the uni you want to go to along with the subject you want to study. So for instance "Leicester maths". You will get to the website of the department at the university that deals with your subject. It will then list all the courses available and there should be a tab concerning entry requirements. There will also be an enquiries email address where you can get in touch with those that run the department and decide who gets in.
