Liberals encourage multiculturalism and tolerance of immigrants. But some immigrants have very backwards views of women and gays e.g. expecting traditional gender roles and not allowing gay marriage. Some immigrants even come from cultures that execute gays and sluts, engage in female genital mutilation, don't allow women to drive, permit marital rape, etc.
What is more important: tolerance of multiculturalism and religious views, or support for women & gay rights?
As an example, a lesbian went to a Muslim barber and wanted a man's haircut. She was refused. Should the Muslim barber be forced to provide a man's haircut to a lesbian? Or should his religious views be accepted?

Women's and Gay's rights when it comes to be treated by the state. However we must be tolerate of other individuals views even if we think they are abhorrent.
A Muslim barber should have every right to refuse service to anyone he chooses, of course most people will judge him negatively and they are entitled to do so.
