I'm finding it difficult to work out how long I should spend on each question type in the paper. For example, how long should I spend on an 8 marker etc.

i think for 8 marks around 20-25mins and 12 marks 30mins. this is going on what i can remember from last year.

Work out the total marks for the paper and the length of time you have, then divide it evenly to get a rough estimate of how many minutes to spend per mark.
