i have the same problem, but the best thing i could find was just make it bigger and go a lot slower,
(my writing is quite small,)
Make sure your downstrokes go towards you elbow, that usually helps me.

I write very small and messy, and I jump from ideas very quickly, but I wouldn't say that's intelligence, i'd say it's inability to concentrate on one particular idea, and a habit I need to get out of. This just seems like a silly justification to me for sloppy handwriting...

yep, it's me trying to make myself feel better :frown:
I also have this problem :s-smilie: it's not at the point where I've lost marks in exams but I would take far better notes in maths if I had neat writing. As regards the 'messy writing is a sign of intelligence' thing, I'm not convinced, although it certainly seems convenient  I think faster than I write, but that's probably true of everyone, regardless of intelligence.

I have always chosen to believe this
Always thought it was kind of ridiculous that your handwriting was counted towards your grade always brought mine down substantially.

Doctors notoriously have horrendous handwriting, just ask any nurse.
