Dangerously underweight models, Target's recent photoshopping fail and the like...

I'm in my last year of studying for my English and Media degree and my dissertation is on the subject of fashion journalism.


One of my articles is focussing on body image and whether low self esteem is actually caused by the fashion industry. Therefore, it will focus on the likes of thin and often underweight models being used on the catwalk and in advertising campaigns, the size of mannequins being used to showcase clothes by high street brands, the introduction of a UK size 2 (as is being sold by ASOS) and the over Photoshopping of models in advertisements.
