Yeah i was in New court but i did spend a bit of time in block five towards the end of the year. A really nice block.
Yeah i was catered. I quite liked it, it was better than i could have done and it was always nice knowing i had two meals there a day no matter how tight money was. A great way to socialise as well with your block.
I biked to uni (ten minutes) as i wanted to save money from a bus pass but i know people who walked/got the bus. It is really down to individual discretion. I loved biking and it was a nice easy route and quickest mode of transport.

I'm mainly going catered for the social aspect :smile:

And I'm thinking about taking my bike too, but I think for the first term I might use the bus, just while I get used to things :smile:

Hey! I'm a student from dubai coming to study at leicester, and i was wondering are the self catered rooms in Beaumont Halls sort of like excluded from the majority of the rooms? I do want to live in Beaumont halls, but i prefer self catered rooms. But i do want to enjoy the social experience as well! If anyone could help me on this, that would be great! Cheers! :smile:

Hey! I'm gonna be in Beaumont Hall too, in Block 1! I'm studying Ancient History and History. I don't know if anyone here is interested but Channel 4's documentary The Secret Life Of Students is set in Leicester, and the students that they are following live in Beaumont.
