Recommended Reading/Tips for Law

Hi I'm hopefully looking at applying for Law in 2015 and I just wanted to get some advice on the application process, and maybe some recommended reading for the course. Just anything that will prepare me for law at university

Everyone says The Law Machine or Letters to a Law Student.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. Wait to see if the university gives a reading list - but any benefit is likely to be extremely marginal.
Clip's right try to read a first year tort textbook without having gone to lectures you will be put of for life. If you just want to be inspired try Helena Kennedy's Eve Was Framed http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eve-Was-Framed-British-Justice/dp/0099224410/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1397312366&sr=1-1&keywords=eve+was+framed (the law in it isn't necessarily up to date but it made me want to be a solicitor) or if you want a really general introduction try letters to a law student http://www.amazon.co.uk/Letters-Law-Student-Studying-University/dp/1408218801.
