Free education until how old?

Hi,

So I'm 19 and I started studying AAT at college in September 2013. I was 18 at the time and turned 19 in Nov '13.

I was told that tuition was free at an interview before I started and I was never asked to sign a contract with anything to do with finance etc. It's not a private school or college either. Apparently I now owe them £2,500.

I'm not sure if this is correct and I actually need to pay them?
Bump

Surely one of you must know

Depends on what AAT qualification.
A levels and equivalent qualifications should be free if you are under 19 at the start of the academic year.
Some AAT level 3 full time courses may fall into that category.
Most AAT courses tend to be part time and full fee.

If you were told it would be free and it's not then not sure what position you are in if they've now discovered an error was made.
