Design and technology alevel PLEASE help. AS edecel

Hey basically I am doing edexcel at school. I am doing AS I find the book we got from school is not useful AT ALL. It's resistant materials 'a Pearson company' I've made notes from it and when I'm answering exam questions the notes are wrong?!?!?!? I can seem to find another AS level design technology resistant materials for edexcel anywhere! PLEASE help, my exam is in a month!

@Miso77 What kind of notes have you made ? I think the book is useful, is it Blue ? Here are a few links that might help :smile:

Yeah it's blue! I've noted key points on flash cards and made hand written notes. But when doing past papers, some of the information required to answer the question is not in the book? :frown:

Oh gosh haha. I'm going to have to do 4 hours of DT everyday until the exam if I want to get an A which I need to get!

Maybe you're doing the wrong past papers :\ - if you're studying Product design: resistant materials then the Exam coding should be 6RM02, maybe you're looking at the Graphics paper :wink:

Good luck with your revision but I don't think you should worry too much about the exam because once you get over half (to get an E) the grade boundaries for the other grades are so close . Last year to get an A in the exam you needed 55/70 which isn't too bad :wink:

Hey everyone!! I managed to get an A overall, almost full marks in course work then a C in my exam which I was surprised with because I went in thinking I knew nothing and did the best in my class! Thanks for everyone's help and links, I am re sitting the exam this year to up it and I have already started revising so it will go better! My target grade is an A* I am determined to achieve it, what about everyone else?

that's great I didn't do too well on the exam, I got a D overall though (with a C in the coursework) which I guess is alright. However even though I didn't do too well in the exam, it was the same for everyone in my class everyone is retaking the exam :/ Good luck hope you do get an A* :smile:
